Forum for Nation Building Nepal

Forum for Nation (FNB) Nepal is a youth led community based organization established by diverse youth professionals in March 2013. We have been working on access to justice, human rights, migration, disaster, governance and humanitarian assistance issues. We empower the community on the ground and do policy advocacy in the center based on our first hand information. Our head office is based in Kathmandu and we are also operating from Bara, Sindhupalchowk, West-Rukum and Gorkha districts. We are the secretary of NGO Federation Kathmandu, board member of National Network for Safe Migration and also affiliated with National Youth Council , Ministry of Youth and Sports of Nepal and represent the board of the council. We are also the members of many international organizations such as A4ID, UK, IPYG, South Korea, Netzcraft Foundation, Germany, International Peace Bureau, Germany International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), Switzerland, Trust Law- Thomson Reuters Foundation, Reverse the Trend, USA etc. FNB is the finalist of 2017 Justice Competition organized by Namati and shortlisted for 2018 PILnet's Pro Bono Local Impact Award. Recently we have been awarded with the 2024 APAC Legal Award. We have reached more than 55,000 community beneficiaries directly and trained more than 920 local government authorities from 37 local governments of Nepal on legal, disaster, mediation, environment and local government functioning issues within an eight years period. 223 trained legal and social science volunteers are associated with us helping on different projects.
