Canadian Kurdish Community Centre

CKCC (Canadian Kurdish Community Centre) is a non-profit organization established in 1992. It aims to preserve the rich culture of the Kurdish community in Toronto and its surroundings while providing cultural, sports, and social services. CKCC is built on the values and heritage of Kurdistan, remaining deeplyconnected to these traditions while fostering
harmony with modern Canadian society. The organization serves people of all ages and strives to strengthen community unity and solidarity. For over 33 years, CKCC has organized annual traditional events, including Newroz celebrations, International Women’s Day activities, cultural festivals, soccer tournaments, and film screenings. In addition, it offers various social programs such as language courses, traditional dance classes, Ashura gatherings, and community picnics, serving Kurdish immigrants who have settled in Canada. CKCC’s vision is to blend the richness of Kurdish culture with modern Canadian life, ensuring its daily practice and preservation for future generations. CKCC was founded in the 1980s and 1990s
by a group of patriotic Kurds who immigrated to Canada during that period. Since its establishment, it has been supported by the volunteer efforts of the Kurdish community in Canada. Through collaboration with Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), CKCC has provided critical assistance to tens of thousands of newcomers, helping them transition from settlement to full integration into Canadian life, both socially and  economically.
