Single Mothers Association of Kenya (SMAK) is a registered Community-Based organ incepted in 1991. As an entity, SMAK is dedicated towards offering spiritual,
emotional and physical needs of single mothers and their children. This it does by;
ensuring holistic nurturing of children to attain their very best capabilities,
encouraging healthy family relationships as well as by providing a haven for healing
and restoration for broken families.
Through its Gender for Development program, it address social inequality issues,
perceptions of stereotypes, sexual identity, and other gender-related topics.
Progressively, it has embarked on non-traditional programs; palliative homebased care, preservation and protection of historically significant places, social justice advocacy, supporting of green economy and provision of legal aid, sports
and theatre for development.
