Kanienkehaka Traditional Council

The Kanienkehaka Traditional Council is the Original governing body of One United Longhouse.

The Longhouse is the structure under which the Original Peoples of this land live and function within the Great Law of Peace, the Matrilineal Law that exists since more than 1,500 years before the arrival of the peoples across the waters. The Longhouse and the Great Law of Peace function on a Matrilineal consensual decision making process that is called the Counsel Process.
